The Board of Supervisors often recognizes and celebrates milestones for Mendocino County residents and has recognized the birthdays of Ms. Ceccarelli.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Proclamation recognizes the 115th birthday of Ms. Ceccarelli. Edith Ceccarelli was born in Willits, California in 1908 as one of seven children to Augustino and Maria Recagno, immigrants from Italy, who helped to build the Willits railroad; and she was raised and currently resides in Willits. Ms. Ceccarelli has celebrated more birthdays than any other person in the United States and is the 4th oldest person in the world. Only 62 people have ever lived as long as Ms. Ceccarelli.
