Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:

At the April 11, 2023 meeting, the Board directed the CEO to return with a plan to utilize available state and federal grant opportunities for EV charging and use up to $250,000 from the carbon reduction funds.

Summary of Request

The CFI Program was established by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law; authorized to strategically deploy publicly accessible electric vehicle charging and other alternative fueling infrastructure in communities and along designated Alternative Fuel Corridors (AFCs).

After the direction from the Board on April 11, 2023, Executive Office staff from the Grants Division have engaged LACO Associates and working with community partners along with Supervisor Williams to come up with the draft project scope and cost estimate.  Grants Division staff will return on May 23 on consent item with a more finalized scope and budget.
