Approve Agreement with Long Valley Fire Protection District in the amount of $66,000 to support ongoing Advanced Life Support services in the more rural areas of the County, effective upon signing through June 30, 2024; authorize the Emergency Medical Services Liaison or designee to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
This is an annual Agreement with the last approval executed on December 6, 2022, Item 3 (ab), Agreement No. 22-285.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Public Health Department requests Board approval of the Agreement with Long Valley Fire Protection District to allow for a continuation of the Advanced Life Support (ALS) Enhancement Pilot Project in Laytonville and surrounding areas. Initially expected to be a one-year project, approval of these funds dates back to Fiscal Year 2014-15, when the Board of Supervisors approved Memorandums of Understanding with service providers in vulnerable and underserved communities in Mendocino County to sustain and enhance ALS and emergency medical services.
