PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On July 12, 2022, the Board of Supervisors approved an agreement with Integrated Security Controls, Inc. to replace the existing video surveillance system that was out of date and past end-of-life.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The video surveillance system at Juvenile Hall was replaced in FY2022-23 due to the system being out-of-date and past end-of-life. Since the installation, there has been further identified areas requiring upgrade, replacement or addition to the surveillance areas. These areas include the dining hall exterior, driveway, sallyport roll-up exterior, intake sallyport, intake, and the south quad. This enhancement also requires expansion of the video storage on the existing Avigilon system to provide one-year of video retention for all areas in this agreement. It is essential that this system be maintained and updated as necessary with the new facility requirements as a result of the passage of SB 823 and the resulting realignment of the Division of Juvenile Justice (DJJ).
