Approve retroactive Agreement with Project Sanctuary in the amount of $187,500 to provide non-congregate shelter services for individuals and families fleeing or attempting to flee dangerous or life-threatening conditions in Mendocino County, effective January 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025; authorize the Social Services Director or designee to sign any future amendments that do not increase the maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The proposed Agreement with Project Sanctuary is funded by the Homeless Housing, Assistance, and Prevention (HHAP) Round 3 allocation jointly awarded to the County of Mendocino and Mendocino County Homeless Services Continuum of Care (MCHSCoC) by the California Interagency Council on Homelessness. Through the proposed Agreement, Project Sanctuary will provide hotel-based non-congregate shelter for individuals and families fleeing or attempting to flee domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, or other dangerous or life-threatening conditions in Mendocino County. The proposed Agreement is fully funded with grant funds and no General Fund dollars will be used.
