PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On August 29, 2023, the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors conducted a public discussion and directed the County Counsel to return to the Board of Supervisors with the necessary actions to dissolve the Mendocino County Climate Action Advisory Committee.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
County Counsel and the Executive Office worked with departments to identify existing boards, committees, commissions, and advisory bodies that are not required by statute, citizen's initiative, or other laws. After those meetings, it was unanimously recommended that the resolution establishing the Mendocino County Climate Action Advisory Committee be repealed to dissolve the Committee. This change will reduce the administrative burden on the County.
