Previous Board/Board Committee Actions:
By Resolution Number (No.) 12-079 (May 22, 2012), the Board of Supervisors (BOS) approved Department of Transportation (DOT) Agreement No. 110121 with Quincy Engineering, Inc., for the plans, specifications, and estimate bid package for the Rowes Creek Bridge Replacement on Sherwood Road. By Resolution No. 16-141 (December 6, 2016), the Board authorized the Director of Transportation to advertise for bids and award DOT Contract No. 160090 for construction of the Rowes Creek Bridge Replacement project. By Resolution No. 18-098 (July 10, 2018), BOS approved amendments to the agreement final design changes incorporated into the plans and specifications.
Summary of Request:
DOT Agreement No. 190087 provides for vegetation replacement, erosion control measures, monitoring, and maintenance for five years. Pacific Watershed Associates, Inc. responded to the request for proposals and was rated most qualified to do the work. The negotiated “not-to-exceed” price is $230,000 with a contingency of $23,000 for additional tasks that may arise during the five years. The project is 100% funded though the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Highway Bridge Program (HBP) with the local match funded through the Toll Credit Program.
