Summary of Request:
I.D.E.A. Consulting provides support for Mendocino County, Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) processes required by state regulations, such as community planning, stakeholder feedback, innovation development, and program evaluation. Previously, BHRS contracted with I.D.E.A. Consulting for a short-term, six-month period. This short-term contract was put in place due to concerns regarding the allocation of Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) funds from the state, and pending a Request for Proposals (RFP) process for the next 3-Year Plan.
Initially, MHSA funding projections were dire at the onset of COVID-19, and included major cuts. The extension of this Agreement through June 30, 2021 and increase in maximum amount to $21,875 reflects the ongoing budgeting situation. The revision includes a reduction of cut funds reflected in the first six-months of the contract, in order to reflect a more current allocation of MHSA funds from the state. This reduction in cut funds was not implemented until after the original Agreement expired, resulting in the retroactive processing of this Amendment.
