RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Budget Act of 2021 authorized the Local Jurisdiction Assistance Grant Program (Grant Program) which allows the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) to award $100 million in funding, on a one-time basis, to local jurisdictions with commercial cannabis licensees needing the greatest assistance in transitioning from provisional licenses to annual licenses. The Grant Program funds will aid local jurisdictions in more expeditiously reviewing local permitting requirements, including project specific California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review.
