The Board of Supervisors approved grant awards for the Cultural Services Agency on February 5th, 2019:

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The California State Library is encouraging participation in El D?a de los Ni?os/El D?a de los Libros, also known as D?a or Children's Day. D?a is a celebration of literacy for children from all backgrounds and helps to link families and children to diverse books, languages and cultures.

Mendocino County Library plays an important role in the lives of local families and children by providing resources and opportunities to learn through multiple literacies. The California State Library has awarded $500.00 to the Mendocino County Library - Coast Community branch for programs, books, and supplies to celebrate D?a.

ALTERNATIVE ACTION/MOTION:
Not authorize acceptance of grant and provide alternative direction to staff.
