Adopt Resolution approving Department of Transportation (DOT) Agreement number (No.) 170008, Professional Services Agreement with Drake Haglan & Associates (DHA), in the amount of $852,965 for the Usal Creek Bridge replacement on Usal Road, County Road 431, milepost 5.93; authorize the Director of Transportation to sign any and all amendments to the Agreement not exceeding $85,000 (Rockport Area); and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
DOT Agreement No. 170008 provides for preliminary engineering and design work, including environmental studies, plans, specifications, and estimate, needed for the Usal Creek Bridge Replacement on Usal Road. DHA has agreed to perform the required work for a not-to-exceed amount of $852,965. Costs of the project are to be funded primarily through the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Highway Bridge Program (HBP), with the local match covered through Toll Credits. Future amendments for additional work will be determined based on supplemental funding from FHWA. DOT believes it is prudent to begin work with the existing funds from FHWA Allocation No. 1 in the amount of $554,500, followed by Allocation No. 2 in the amount of $298,465, upon receiving confirmation of the additional grant funding.
