SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Mendocino County Planning and Building Services (PBS) had an approved purchase agreement, PA 17-122, with Land Logistics to provide contract planning services (performed by Nash Gonzalez) in order to complete outstanding projects due to staff shortages. During this time, the PBS Director also resigned, leaving the department extremely under staffed in the planning division. As Mr. Gonzalez had previously served as the PBS Director, he assumed the role of Interim Director. Funding will be provided with the increased revenue from permit and project applications as well as salary savings, if needed, due to the existing vacancies in the department that have remained unfilled for numerous months.
