RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

1) Hear Off Agenda item pursuant to Government Code 54954.2 and move that this item will be added to the agenda as item 8a); 2) Adopt Resolution of the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors Affirming Support for State and Local Health Orders, Encouraging Compliance Therewith and Prioritizing Available County Resources to Assure Effective Enforcement; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Governor Newsom announced on December 4, subsequent to agenda publication, that Mendocino County would be part of a regional area for consideration of ICU bed availability and if regional availability falls to 15% a renewed Shelter in Place Order would take effect. There is a need to take immediate action to assure that Mendocino County does its part to relieve pressure on our healthcare staff, preserve ICU bed availability and avoid triggering a renewed Shelter in Place Order. The Board is requested to add this item to the agenda as item 8a) making the findings that the need to take action arose after publication of the agenda and there is a need to take action before the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board.
