Approve Agreement with University of California, Davis Continuing and Professional Education in the amount of $79,050 to provide professional trainings to Family & Children's Services, effective July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2023; authorize the HHSA Assistant Director/Social Services Director to sign any future amendments that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign the same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The University of California, Davis (UC Davis) is the State's contracted Child Welfare Services training entity for the Northern California region, to which Mendocino County is assigned. The UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education program offers training programs specific to the field of human services and California child welfare services that cannot be obtained from another general training entity. Trainings are intended to build staff's skills and promote professional development to enhance the quality of services provided to Mendocino County residents. These trainings are in addition to State mandated and funded training for social workers and social worker supervisors, and allow UC Davis to provide trainings specifically for Mendocino County Family & Children's Services (FCS) to enhance state-mandated training and provide human services trainin...
