SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Under this agreement, Redwood Community Services (RCS), a State licensed Foster Family Agency, provided three retained beds per month in the Mendocino County Children's Center/ Cam's Place, a Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program, used by Mendocino County Family and Children's Services (FCS) for immediate placement needs for assessment and stabilization for foster youth ages 7 to 17 who presented with significant behavioral challenges that prevented placement in a home-based setting. In addition, RCS provided Emergency Support Services (ESS) staff 24/7 to assist FCS social workers, when needed, to provide immediate care and supervision for detained children while FCS staff located a foster care placement.
