Approve retroactive Agreement with North Coast Opportunities, Inc. in the amount of $297,000 to provide fiscal and administrative support for Project Roomkey served households experiencing homelessness during the COVID-19 pandemic through efficient distribution of funds for housing barrier removal in an effort to exit participants to safe and stable housing, effective October 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022; authorize the Social Services Director or designee to sign any amendments that do not increase the annual amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Like all communities across the nation, the COVID-19 pandemic has completely disrupted the community of Mendocino County, especially for individuals in vulnerable living situations. The County of Mendocino currently provides support to at-risk individuals experiencing homelessness during the pandemic through temporary housing in motels through the State funded Project Roomkey. On July 26, 2021, California Department of Social Services released allocations to Counties operating Project Roomkey programs.
