Approve Agreement with Mendocino Private Industry Council, Inc. (MPIC), in the amount of $629,191 to provide employment and training services to adults, dislocated workers, and businesses from July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2017; service is to be performed pursuant to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) through the Workforce Development Board (WDB); authorize the Planning and Building Services Director or his designee to sign any future amendments to the agreement that do not affect the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Workforce Development Board (WDB) asks the Board of Supervisors to approve the contract between the WDB, the County, and MPIC for employment and training services for adults, dislocated workers, and businesses. MPIC was awarded the contract as a result of the WIB Request for Proposal (RFP) #14-003. At a special meeting the WDB's Executive Committee approved a reduction to the coastal office hours to two days per week.
