PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
The Board of Supervisors adopted the Final Budget including the schedule of fixed assets for FY 16-17 on June 21, 2016.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Animal Shelter was in urgent need of a new sanitizer capable of sterilizing equipment to prevent the spread of disease at the shelter. This unit is an industrial strength sanitizer with high temperature sanitizing capabilities. Funding for the sanitizer is from Budget Unit 1710, Capital Improvements Budget, HHSA-Animal Shelter Improvements.
The audio/video switch is part of an overall packet of equipment which is necessary to upgrade the audio/video capabilities in the Board Chambers. It was not anticipated to cost in excess of $5,000.00 when originally planned. Funding for the switch is from Budget Unit 1910, Information Services.
ALTERNATIVE ACTION/MOTION:
Do not approve purchase of fixed assets and return to the Department with further direction.
