PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On October 4, 2016, the Board of Supervisors heard a presentation on the 2016-2017 Emergency Winter Shelters including possible support and direction on funding as submitted by the Health and Human Services Agency, Adult and Aging Services in Collaboration with the Homeless Services Action Group. On October 18, 2016, the Board of Supervisors approved the funding allocation of $10,000 to support the Mendocino Coast Hospitality Center's Emergency Winter Shelter Services for Homeless living on the Mendocino Coast; and, up to $50,000 to support the 2016-2017 Emergency Winter Shelters (EWS) as submitted by the Health and Human Services Agency, Adult and Aging Services in Collaboration with the Homeless Services Action Group. On October 28, 2016 the City of Ukiah took action during a Council meeting to transfer funds in the amount of $30,000 to the County as a partial match to the County's funds for the support of extreme weather/emergency shelter services in the Ukiah area.
