Approve Amendment to Board of Supervisors Agreement 15-105 with LACO Associates extending the expiration date from December 31, 2016 to June 30, 2017, allowing LACO Associates to finish preparing reports related to investigative and remedial work at former Underground Storage Tanks (UST) for the 2016 reporting year; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On October 6, 2015, the Board approved the Agreement BOS 15-105 with LACO Associates for the amount of $96,504.50 for a work plan for implementation of Monitoring Well Installments and Subsequent Groundwater Monitoring at the Fort Bragg and Willits Road Yards for the Term of October 12, 2015 to December 31, 2016.

On June 30, 2014, the County completed an agreement with LACO Associates for $43,038.10 to perform investigative and remedial work at two former underground storage tank (UST) sites located at the Fort Bragg and Willits Road Yards. The work involved multiple bore sites, sampling of soil and groundwater and preparing a report to either support the closing of the sites or additional remedial work. The results of the report indicated the contamination levels remained at a level requiring additional monitoring and sampling of the groundwater.
