SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
When the County declares a local emergency that is subsequently included in a declared state or federal disaster, Mendocino County can apply for State and Federal emergency grant funding to reimburse expenses for related repairs. California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency oversee such reimbursements. In order to be eligible to receive funding, Cal OES requires that the County provide Cal OES Form 130 "Designation of Applicant's Agent Resolution for Non-State Agencies." Once executed, this document will be valid for three years. We request that the Board approve the Resolution that designates the Chief Executive Officer/Director of Emergency Services, or the Sheriff-Coroner/Assistant Director of Emergency Services, or the Director of Transportation, as the Authorized Agents, and execute and submit Cal OES Form 130 so that Mendocino County can be eligible to receive funding for qualified storm related repairs.
