SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
On August 28, 2016, the County issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Medical Cannabis Inventory Tracking Software System for the County of Mendocino's Medical Cannabis Cultivation Program and Medical Cannabis Facilities Program. Subsequent to a review and evaluation process, which included product demonstrations from several responsive proposers, the County issued an award letter to SICPA Product Security, LLC in February 2017. SICPA is a global leader in product authentication, identification and secure traceability solutions and services. SICPA comes highly recommended and currently provides the California Board of Equalization with its track and trace architecture to uniquely identify over 800 million items annually. In addition, SICPA has developed a track and trace solution for medical cannabis currently being utilized by Humboldt County, Yolo County and the City of Eureka.
