PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
By Resolution 17-049 (April 4, 2017) the Board authorized the Director of Transportation to advertise for bids and award DOT Contract No. 170002 in the estimated amount of $40,000, for the pavement reconstruction of the Emergency Vehicle Parking Area at Round Valley Airport.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
DOT has prepared construction plans, specifications, estimates and contract documents for DOT Contract No. 170002 pavement reconstruction of the Emergency Vehicle Parking Area at the Round Valley Airport. This project includes pulverization and reconstruction of the existing paved Emergency Vehicle Parking Area. This project was advertised for bids on April 6, 2017, to which three sealed bids were received. All bids came in higher than the previously authorized estimate of $4000, with the lowest responsive bidder being Mendocino Construction Services, Inc., with a bid of $51,705.
