SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
On April 19, 2017 a Journal Entry request was sent to the Auditors office to move $31,419.90 from Sheriff's Office Civil Account 2110-760198 to Sheriff's Office Civil Revenue Account SO-826223. This Journal Entry moves the funds from the Civil Account to the Civil Revenue Account to finalize the purchase of the final vehicle for the 2016/17 fiscal year.

The Sheriff's Office is also seeking approval for the Budget Transfer to move these funds from Sheriff's Office Civil Fees Revenue Account SO-826223 in the amount of $31,419.90 to Sheriff's Office Fixed Asset Equipment Account SO-864370 to allow the purchase of the final vehicle for the 2016/17 fiscal year.

Funds were transferred previously to the Sheriff's Office Equipment/Fixed Asset account (SO-864370) to replace two patrol vehicles; however, before the purchase order could be finalized the funds were used to purchase other outfitting related equipment for vehicles.

The 2016/17 County Budget for the Sheriff's Office included funding for a total of four patrol vehicles and one vehicle for the detective division for a total of five. During the year, two additional vehicles were involved in accidents and required replacement. O...
