Approve Agreement with Nacht & Lewis for Architectural Services for the SB844 Jail Building Project as the successful applicant of the RFQ 57-17 titled "Architectural/Engineering Services for the Mendocino County Jail Replacement Special Needs Housing Unit and Visitors Center" in the amount of $2,910,000 for the term of December 20, 2017, to June 30, 2021; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
February 6, 2017, the Board authorized the application and resolution to apply for SB 844 jail construction funding.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Nacht & Lewis was the successful bidder in the RFQ 57-17 "Architectural/Engineering Services for the Mendocino County Jail Replacement Special Needs Housing Unit and Visitors Center" process. The County conducted a competitive process with proposals requested and three proposals were received. The evaluation panel consisted of six people, three from the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office (MCSO); one County Counsel employee; one County Planning and Building employee and one County Executive Office employee.
