SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
On December 8, 2015, the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) from the CA Department of Social Services (CDSS) that allowed the redirection of County funds toward implementation and ongoing support for a Residentially Based Services (RBS) program for difficult-to-place youth who need intensive treatment services. The County established that program in an effort to maintain youth in Mendocino County, bring youth back to the County, and to provide them with the least restrictive living environment. Redwood Community Services currently contracts with the Health and Human Services Agency, Family and Children's Services to operate Mendocino County's RBS program.
