PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
2014 the Purchasing Agent approved the original agreement; in 2016 the Purchasing Agent approved two amendments to the original agreement; this third amendment places the item in the Board's authority for approval.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Mendocino County Sheriff-Coroner Office manages the Mendocino County Jail which houses inmates. There are times when inmates must be temporarily housed outside of the jail. Examples are hospitalizations or other facilities where inmates might be sent for treatment. It is critical that those inmates are attended by qualified security people during their time outside of the jail facility.
The Sheriff-Coroner Office contracts with Professional Events Services to provide security services for times when inmates must be outside of the County Jail facility. The County has contracted with Professional Events Services since 200...
