MCSO has requested equipment purchases as needed via the Board of Supervisors multiple times.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
MCSO uses Polycom RealPresence Group equipment for county-wide briefing meetings with staff on a regular basis and in particular during priority situations. MCSO has Polycom equipment located in Ukiah, Willits and the coast to connect all the offices and staff. The Polycom equipment in the Willits station is currently broken. It has aged out of its warranty and parts are not readily available. A replacement unit will cost $15,808. The camera ($9,599) and the license and software ($3,099) and three year maintenance contract ($3,110) are available through a limited supplier that the other two locations have purchased from and in order to have the system connected and working together efficiently, it is recommended to purchase the replacement for Willits from the same supplier...
