Adopt Resolution authorizing Department of Transportation (DOT) to advertise for bids and award DOT Contract Number (No.) 180010 to perform a 2018 Asphalt Concrete (AC) Maintenance Project on various County Maintained Roads (Redwood Valley, Calpella, Ukiah, and Hopland Areas); and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
DOT will prepare and administer construction plans, specifications, estimates and contract documents for Contract No. 180010, 2018 AC Maintenance Project on various County Maintained Roads. This project will be to preserve 7.58 miles of road surfaces within the Mendocino County Maintained Road System, at an estimated average cost of $263,697.00 per mile when completed. The roads are Central Avenue, County Road (CR) 229, from milepost (MP) 0.00 to MP 0.91, Eastside Calpella Road, CR 227, from MP 0.00 to MP 3.75, and University Road, CR 116B, from MP 0.00 to MP 2.91.

Postpone the needed pavement preservation.
