SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
As the designated entity for oversight of the County Children's Trust Fund (Account No. 2110-760272), Policy Council on Children and Youth/Child Abuse Prevention Commission (PCCY/CAPC) is tasked with establishing the criteria for determining which county programs receive funding for child abuse prevention and intervention. PCCY/CAPC makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for distribution of funds, and the Board makes the final decision as to which programs are funded. In order to ensure child abuse prevention activities are conducted countywide, PCCY/CAPC is recommending that two abuse prevention groups (Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), located in Ukiah, and Mendocino Coast Child Abuse Prevention Coordinating Council (MCCAPCC), located on the coast), receive funding to support their operations and act...
