Approve Agreement with Communique Interpreting, Inc. in the amount of $75,000 to provide communication services for Health and Human Services Agency, Family and Children's Services for the term of July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019; authorize the Health and Human Services Agency Director or designee to sign future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Health and Human Services Agency, Family and Children's Services (FCS) contracts with Communique Interpreting to provide mandated sign language interpretation for hearing impaired clients to assist them in accessing services related to their FCS cases. Communique Interpreting, located in Santa Rosa, California, is geographically the closest provider of sign language interpretation, which makes it more affordable than providers located at a greater distance due to travel costs associated with the service.
