RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Approve Retroactive Agreement with the State Air Resources Board for the Air Quality Management District to accept the AB 197 Emissions Inventory District Grant in the amount of $18,267 and commit to complying with the requirements of the Grant Agreement for the term of June 25, 2018 through June 30, 2019; authorize the Air Pollution Control Officer to sign the Grant Agreement between the District and the California Air Resources board; and authorize Chair to sign same. Direct the Clerk of the Board to provide a Minute Order to the District of the Board's decision.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
In 2016 the state legislature approved Assembly Bill 197 requiring the state Air Resources Board to make available to the public the emissions of greenhouse gases and criteria pollutants for each facility that reports to the state board and update the information annually. The AB 197 Emissions Inventory District Grant provides funding to districts to help off-set the cost of updating and reporting facility emissions data to the Air Resources Board. The initial grant amount allocated to the District is $18,267. The annual allocation will be approximately one-half that amount.
