Three proposals were received and after review of the proposals BI Inc. Geo Group Inc. was selected to contract with the County for the needed services. The contract was approved by the Board of Supervisors on July 24, 2012 and included an extension plan as follows: "This Agreement may be extended on its same terms and conditions for three (3) additional periods not to exceed one (1) year each, upon written agreement by the Contractor and the County." The second extension is being requested with this Board of Supervisors Agenda item. The extension allows continuity and uninterrupted services to the County jail and its operations.
