PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
The grants were previously approved on June 19, 2018, July 24, 2018 and September 25, 2018.
SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Mendocino County Library was awarded three grants: $100,000 from the California State Library "Pitch-an-Idea" grant for a new vehicle; $10,000 for the National Endowment for the Arts Big Read which will provide for books and programming; and $7,500 from the State of California Library Initiatives grant for new books. The Library is requesting that the budget be increased for grant revenue by $117,500 for the three grants with corresponding increases for line items 86-4370 by $100,000 for the vehicle and 86-2239 by $17,500 for books and programming.
Additionally, the Library would like permission to add the new library vehicle to the Fixed Asset List.
