Approve the Allocation of a not to exceed amount of Twenty-thousand Dollars ($20,000) as Mendocino County's proportionate share of legal fees for the Inland Water and Power Commission regarding investigation and negotiation for potential acquisition of the Potter Valley Project; further, direct that the Chief Executive Officer and Auditor-Controller pay for the services through the Miscellaneous Budget Unit and return the $20,000 to the Miscellaneous Budget Unit from the Fiscal Year 2017-18 Fund Balance during the First Quarter Budget Report

Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) has announced its intention to sell the Potter Valley Project (PVP) and to request proposals from interested parties beginning in early December, 2018. The Inland Water and Power Commission (IWPC), of which Mendocino County is a member agency, has entered into a non-disclosure agreement with PG&E in order to review confidential information related to the PVP.
