PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On March 19, 2019 the Board received a presentation from the Climate Action Start-Up Group on Mendocino County's Commitment and Mission to Fight Climate Change; endorsed in principle the proposal presented; and directed staff to schedule a subsequent workshop on the formation and structure of the Climate Action Advisory Committee, explore funding sources and initiate discussions with the Mendocino County Resource Conservation District regarding a contract for services to staff the Committee

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Deputy CEO Steve Dunnicliff and Supervisor John McCowen met with representatives of the Mendocino County Resource Conservation District (MCRCD) and submit the attached draft scope of work for consideration. The MCRCD recommends implementation of a Sustainability and Climate Action Program (Program) based on Mendocino County's Commitment and Mission to Fight Climate Change which the Board has adopted in principle.
