Approve Agreement with Redwood Community Services, Inc., in the amount of $100,000, to provide community-based aftercare support services for the period of July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020; authorize the Health and Human Services Agency Director or designee to sign any future amendments that do not exceed the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Health and Human Services Agency, Family and Children's Services, requests Board approval of the Agreement with Redwood Community Services, Inc., to ensure availability of specific support services for foster children and their families. Family and Children's Services provides funding for these services as part of a broader commitment to excellence in the delivery of child welfare services.
Pursuant to Assembly Bill 1997, Group Homes intending to continue to serve children and non-minor dependents must transition to the Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP). STRTP is defined as a residential facility that provides an integrated program of specialized and intensive care and supervision, services and supports, treatment, and short-term twenty-four (24) hour care and supervision of children. Redwood Community Services, Inc., (RCS) is the sole provider in Mendocino County operating STRTP.
