PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
The Board approved the grant application for this project to the Economic Development Agency (EDA) at the June 19, 2018 meeting.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Under this two-year contract, EDFC is working closely with the County to develop the Economic Recovery and Resiliency Plan and implementing broadband development activities.

The Economic Recovery and Resiliency Plan will create a strategic framework for local governments, agencies, and organizations to create a resilient economy in Mendocino County. Although the County is leading the Economic Recovery and Resiliency Project, EDFC plays the critical role of community outreach and working directly with local businesses and jurisdictions to gain data regarding the needs of the community.

EDFC's activities include developing a web-based system for public access to quarterly economic data, developing an e-news for regular distribution, conducting a preliminary online countywide survey, conducting in-person qualitative surveys, organizing a stakeholder input forum, presenting the Economic Recovery and Resiliency Plan to the Board and other juris...
