PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
In November 2018 the Board approved the Information Technology (IT) Master Plan. Regular updates regarding IT Master Plan projects have been provided to the Board via the Quarterly Budget.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The IT Master Plan was finalized and approved by the Board in November 2018. The IT Master Plan identified 99 infrastructure initiatives with an estimated fiscal cost of $20.7 million over five years. The IT Master Plan identified multiple initiatives related to IT Security, addressing all security systems and practices to protect systems and data. They Cybersecurity presentation is intended to provide the Board of Supervisors with an overview of the ever growing cybersecurity risks, the current security measures being taken within the County, and planning for the future. Additionally, staff will present an update regarding activities associated with other operational efficiencies, including Mendocino County's efforts related to efficiency and automation (Measurement & Metrics, Business Applications and Technical Applications).

Do not accept the presentation and provide further direction to staff.
