RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION:

Adopt Resolution approving Department of Transportation Agreement Number 190094 with O'Neil's Septic Service in the amount of $30,000, for the term starting upon execution of the Contract through January 31, 2021, for leachate monitoring and hauling services for South Coast Landfill, and authorizing the Director of Transportation to sign any and all amendments to the agreement not exceeding $3,000 (Gualala Area); and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
Landfill leachate is currently collected from the leachate storage system and disposed of at the local wastewater treatment plant by County Road Crews. The timing and quantity of leachate generation are dependent upon rainfall events with leachate generation and disposal typically being from November to May. Due to limited manpower the Department is desirous to contract out leachate monitoring and collection and disposal to an outside party. Department of Transportation (DOT) Agreement Number (No.) 190094 provides for Leachate Monitoring and Hauling Services by an outside party.
