PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
On August 27, 2019 the Board of Supervisors appointed a Homeless Action Ad Hoc Committee (Supervisors Gjerde and McCowen) to address issues related to homelessness in Mendocino County.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The Homeless Housing, Assistance and Prevention Program (HHAP) funding is a block grant program to provide one-time funding to expand or develop local capacity to address immediate homelessness needs and assist in moving individuals and families into permanent housing and helping them maintain their housing. HHAP was authorized by AB101, which was signed into law by Governor Newsom on July 31, 2019. The Mendocino County Continuum of Care (CoC) was allocated $924,734.12 and Mendocino County was separately allocated $856,699.99.
