Approve retroactive Agreement with Redwood Community Services, Inc., in the amount of $449,748 to provide immediate placement services for high needs children placed by the Department of Social Services, Family & Children's Services, effective July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023; authorize the Department of Social Services Director to sign any future amendments to the Agreement that do not increase the annual maximum amount; and authorize Chair to sign same.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
In Mendocino County, the placement and care of children who have been removed from the custody of
their parents or guardians under Welfare and Institutions Code Section 300 is the responsibility of the
Mendocino County Department of Social Services, Family and Children's Services (FCS). As part of meeting this requirement, FCS contracts with Redwood Community Services, Inc. (RCS) for the
provision of immediate placement in their three-bed Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) facility, Mendocino County Children's Center (MC3), for assessment and stabilization for youth ages 7 to 17 who present with significant behavioral challenges that prevent placement in a home-based setting....
