Approve first Amendment to BOS Agreement No. 19-239 with Vanir in the amount of $351,608 for a total revised agreement amount of $1,861,306 for services related to the new jail facility, and an extension of the contract term from June 30, 2023 through June 30, 2026; and authorize Chair to sign same.

PREVIOUS BOARD/BOARD COMMITTEE ACTIONS:
Approval of agreement BOS 19-239 on October 07, 2019 with Vanir Construction Management Inc. for the SB 844 New Jail Facility in the amount of $1,509,698. The Board has taken multiple actions related to the new jail facility, most recently on January 10, 2023 when the Board received updates on the project cost estimates and schedule which included costs for design and construction management services associated with project delays.

SUMMARY OF REQUEST:
The original contract term was from October 07, 2019 through June 30, 2023. The most recent project schedule shows County occupancy on or after June 30, 2025. The Construction Managers will be responsible to provide services under this contract through occupancy and closeout of the project. The additional time and funding of this amendment will allow their work to continue without interruption through the full project schedule as has been extended due to project delays.
